We had an excellent day hedge laying at Clive's farm yesterday, 24 Mar 12. We were very lucky with the weather and finished about 20 mtrs of hedge. An article is to follow and will be posted on the news page.
Clive also showed us his hand made Holly whip which is made along similar principles to stick making. He may be able to arrange a talk if members are interested. Leave a message below if you would like him to arrange it.
Best wishes,
Mark
We had an excellent mornings stick cutting last week. Very many thanks to John and Janet for hosting and providing some lovely warming soup afterwards. I'll write a more detailed article very soon.
Very disappointed I won't be able to attend Hedge Laying with Clive on 17th Mar.

Mark

Hi John
i am a lover of walking sticks and have had a go over the last 3-4 years nothing to fancy although i am very pleased with them, and my work colleagues admire them and say they are good?? I have viewed countless websites and i have to say that if this stick looks as good as the photo it looks about one of the best i have seen. I am not that artistic but am about to have ago at my first animal (a duck)
regards mick
Good pictures which capture the spirit of the day. This is one of my favourite events of the year. Many thanks to John and Janet for making it happen.
